The Trinity Shamrocks had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 55-49 W over Bethlehem Catholic on Friday.
Trinity's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcus Yeager led the charge by scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Owen Schlager, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds.
Trinity's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Bethlehem Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Trinity will head out on the road to face off against Shamokin Area at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Liberty at 7:00 p.m.
