Baseball Recap: Temple Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy

Temple Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Temple Christian will challenge Westover Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they will square off against Hargrave Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last 18 games dating back to last season.
