Wayne has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Logan Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wayne will be strutting in after a win while Logan will be coming in after a defeat.
Wayne put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sissonville 49-7 on the road.
Wayne's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fisher Fry, who threw for 173 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Colton Mathis was another key contributor, rushing for 91 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Logan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 35-14 defeat at the hands of Chapmanville Regional.
Wayne has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Logan, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Wayne might still be hurting after the 31-7 loss they got from Logan when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Will Wayne have more luck at home instead of on the road?
