The Hot Springs County Bobcats lost against the Mountain View Buffalos back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hot Springs County had to suffer through a rough 53-19 loss at the hands of Mountain View. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hot Springs County has scored all season.
Jayssie Owsley and Chloee Owsley certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Owsley scored three points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Owsley scored five points along with six rebounds. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Even though they lost, Hot Springs County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Hot Springs County and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Mountain View, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Hot Springs County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lyman on January 6th. Lyman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Mountain View won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rawlins on January 6th. Rawlins is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
