The Eisenhower Tigers lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They took a serious blow against Heights, falling 67-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eisenhower has scored all season.
Eisenhower's loss came despite strong showings from Chase George and Larsen Schneider. George scored 13 points, while Schneider scored ten points.
Leading Heights to victory were Chase Robinson and T.J. Williams. Robinson scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Williams scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was K'mari Holt, who scored five points along with four steals.
Eisenhower's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-5. As for Heights, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eisenhower on the road again on Friday and play against Dodge City at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Dodge City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Maize at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maize knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Heights likes a good challenge.
