The Center Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 77-69 to Colfax. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Dominic Johnson and Terrill Reid certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Johnson scored 28 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Reid scored 21 points along with four steals. Johnson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Manny Sims, who scored six points along with two steals.
Center has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Colfax, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Center will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Blazers at 7:00 p.m. Lindhurst is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Colfax, they will head out on the road to take on the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bear River and the Falcons are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
