Lowcountry Leadership has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Northwood Academy Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lowcountry Leadership comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-17, which was the final score in Lowcountry Leadership's tilt against the Islanders on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Northwood Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 60-49 victory over First Baptist School. Given Northwood Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Hurricanes are ranked 54th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lowcountry Leadership's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Northwood Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.
