Baseball Recap: Flint Hill Has No Trouble Against United

While Flint Hill put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for United. Flint Hill blew past United 11-0. Considering the Huskies have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Vincenzo Fiorino was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Zach Rachinsky and PJ Lyons did most of the damage at the plate: Rachinsky scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Lyons scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits Lyons has posted since back in May of 2024. Aidan Ryan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Flint Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as United only posted an OBP of .238.

Flint Hill has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Flint Hill will square off against Chagrin Falls at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. United has already played their next game (against Wellston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
