The Wilmington Hurricane will head out on the road to face off against the Goshen Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilmington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 558th, while Goshen is ranked 77th).
Last Tuesday, Wilmington came up short against Franklin and fell 62-50.
Meanwhile, Goshen waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They came out on top against Clinton-Massie by a score of 70-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Goshen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Zeinner, who scored 30 points. Zeinner is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Conner Moore was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Wilmington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Goshen, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
Wilmington was taken down by Goshen 83-45 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Wilmington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
