Hawken and Beachwood are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Hawks will welcome the Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hawken will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Hawken came out on top against North on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run first inning. The Hawks blew past the Rangers 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Jacob Stovsky was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Stovsky was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Hawken let Asher Kimball and Eli Mester run wild. Kimball got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Mester went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Hawken is undefeated when Kimball posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Miles Hamilton was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Hawken always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North only posted an OBP of .364.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Beachwood's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of West Geauga by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Bison's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Beachwood's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Hawken, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Hawken skirted past Beachwood 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
