Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Bishop Blanchet recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lynx will square off against the Bears at 3:30 p.m. Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Roosevelt hit Lincoln with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lynx fell 9-6 to the Roughriders.
Elena Conley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brienna Minton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet made easy work of Seattle Prep on Tuesday and carried off a 16-7 win. Considering the Bears have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ava Schneider spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Bishop Blanchet got a massive performance out of Cadelle Kueber, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six RBI, one run, and one double. The dominant performance also gave Kueber a new career-high in hits (three). Corinne Schuyler was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Bishop Blanchet kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Bishop Blanchet's record is now 7-3-1. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Lincoln hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bishop Blanchet struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Lincoln might still be hurting after the 17-6 loss they got from Bishop Blanchet in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Lynx avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
