Casteel is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Chandler is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Casteel will host Chandler at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Casteel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Casteel made easy work of Mesa and carried off a 12-1 victory. Considering the Colts have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

PJ Brush looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Keegan Goddard and Logan Reber did most of the damage at the plate: Goddard scored three runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances, while Reber went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI. Goddard also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Dodd, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Casteel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mesa only posted an OBP of .250.

Meanwhile, Chandler came up short against Mullen on Saturday and fell 13-9.

Jace Harrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Zayden Peltz was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Casteel has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. Chandler's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Everything went Casteel's way against Chandler in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Casteel made off with a 15-1 victory. Will Casteel repeat their success, or does Chandler has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
