Volleyball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on seven straight dating back to last season.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association found their leader in sophomore Ryann Owensby, who had 19 assists. Owensby is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Norfolk Collegiate is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Cape Henry Collegiate on the 15th. As for Norfolk Collegiate, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Grace Christian School at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th.
