It was an underclassman who stole the show on Tuesday as Haylee Allen came into the game on a mission. She wasn't messing around, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was her 15th straight with five or more strikeouts.

Coming up, Allen and Fairfield will face off against Teague at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Lions thanks in part to Allen: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched.
