The Edgewood Cougars had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 70-47 margin over Eaton. Given Edgewood's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Eaton is ranked 732nd), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edgewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylie Homan, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Homan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. Maddy Judd was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
The victory got Edgewood back to even at 11-11. As for Eaton, they dropped their record down to 1-21 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.
Edgewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eaton, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Carroll at 12:00 p.m. on February 17th.
