Red Lion moved up to 230 from 303 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in York-Adams 1. The Lions were able to move up by defeating William Penn 27-26.
Central York and Spring Grove played the closest game in the league this week, with Central York eventually emerging with a 27-26 victory. Breaun Randle ran for 219 yards and caught 1 pass for 12 yards during the win.
Randle was a force in the backfield as the Panthers defeated the Rockets.
Randle was a passing and rushing force as Central York beat Spring Grove. Randle's favorite target this week was Tyler Wagner, who caught 2 passes for 36 yards.
Tyler Sterner put up the best numbers through the air as South Western lost to Dallastown. He finished with 7 completions for 131 yards and 1 touchdown. Sterner's favorite target this week was Payton Taylor, who caught 2 passes for 74 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Sterner of the Mustangs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 846. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Malik Lewis. The Dallastown star has 21 catches for 433 yards.
Brad Livingston's team's Randle needs only 50 yards against South Western next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 119 carries Randle has put up 950 yards this year.
Next week's game between Damian Poalucci's team and the Panthers will feature an aerial matchup as Sterner tests his arm against Marquette Williams's defensive ability.
At the moment, the Wildcats are in first, while the Bearcats are in fourth.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Mustangs and Central York face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, South Western comes in having scored 147 this season, while the Panthers have scored 172. The Mustangs scored 21 points last week as they lost to Dallastown.
