The Windsor Locks Raiders typically have all the answers at home, but on Wednesday the Thomaston Bears proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged the Raiders out 57-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Windsor Locks lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sincere Monroe. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Monroe also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Jack Grasso was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with two steals.
The victory got Thomaston back to even at 7-7. As for Windsor Locks, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3.
Thomaston will take on the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windsor Locks, they will head out on the road to take on the Bobcats at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
