The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders got the win against the Dover Eagles on Friday by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kailee Detz was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Detz was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Pisano, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Addy Kirchner was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Lancaster Catholic's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Dover, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Lancaster Catholic is taking a road trip to face off against Pequea Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dover, they will face off against Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Dover's pitchers better be ready for this one: Kennard-Dale has averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
