There's no place like home for the La Salle Lancers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Mary Star of the Sea by a score of 55-43 on Monday. This was payback for La Salle, who suffered a 53-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.
La Salle was led to victory by Ryan Hajjar and Emmitt Claiborne. Hajjar scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Claiborne scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Claiborne has scored all season. Anthony Gibbs was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
La Salle's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. As for Mary Star of the Sea, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.
La Salle will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bosco Tech presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Stars in California (the Tigers are ranked 162nd, while the Stars are ranked 394th).
