Charlie Hudson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Hudson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Gus Alexander looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Marshwood got a massive performance out of Brady Isabelle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Isabelle has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Reimels, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Marshwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Portland only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Massabesic kicked off their season last Thursday but they'll have to wait until their next match for a more definitive result. They and Spaulding finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw.
