Landon Pence gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Pence and Hedgesville will welcome GVCS Broadfording at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will enter the matchup having just beaten Hancock, so the Eagles will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
