Basketball Recap: Reading Beats Pittsford for Their Third Straight Victory

Reading had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 29-23 W against the Pittsford Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Rangers: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in February, they had to take a 37-35 defeat.

Reading got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubree Ervans out in front who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Santure, who put up six points in addition to eight steals and six boards.

Reading's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Pittsford, the loss snapped their winning streak at 23 games and leaves them with a 23-1 record.

Coming up, Reading will challenge Mendon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pittsford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
