The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves lost against the Lake Worth Christian Defenders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Oxbridge Academy took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Worth Christian. While losing is never fun, Oxbridge Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while Lake Worth Christian is ranked 169th).
Several ThunderWolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James DeYoung, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds. DeYoung scored a full 25.6% of Oxbridge Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jayden St. Fort, who scored 10 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Oxbridge Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Lake Worth Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oxbridge Academy will face off against Pine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Lake Worth Christian is on the road again on Friday and play against Berean Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th.
