Two dominant guards in Jaden Riley and Tayshaun Jackson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Liberty Patriots will be playing at home against the Las Vegas Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Liberty and the Gaels (ranked 95 and 97 in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile contest. Liberty walked away with a 72-65 victory over the Gaels on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Liberty.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Las Vegas ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They secured a 64-58 W over Desert Pines. The victory was just what Las Vegas needed coming off of a 90-65 defeat in their prior game.
Jackson was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Las Vegas' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Davis, who scored 14 points.
Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Las Vegas, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
