Morgan Academy found their leader in underclassman CJ Christopher Williams, who scored 27 points along with six assists and six steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least 25% of Morgan Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Speedy Parnell, who scored ten points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Monroe Academy bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Morgan Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Monroe Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bessemer Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 15th. Morgan Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southern Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
