Corcoran (Calif.) 34-14.
The Wildcats were up 21-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Joseph Sanchez in the first quarter.
Taft expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by
Vaughn Richardson to
Steven Gee.
Matua Iakopo was the top performer for the Wildcats. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
The Panthers'
Paul Johnson was the standout player for his team. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored two touchdowns on the season.
The win was a nice bounce back for Taft, which lost to Exeter last week, 28-6. The victory snapped THS's 3-game losing streak.
Corcoran (1-2) goes up against Liberty in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Taft (1-3) locks horns with Arvin in a South Sequoia game.
