After having lost a blowout in their previous game, The Bettendorf Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 32-21 victory over Iowa City. This was payback for Bettendorf, who suffered a 42-21 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Iowa City still got an impressive performance from Bobby Bacon, who threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Madlock, who picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Bettendorf's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Iowa City, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
Bettendorf will take on Ankeny Centennial at TBD on Friday. Ankeny Centennial is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Iowa City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
