Last Friday, Atlanta Girls' School made easy work of the Cougars and carried off a 60-36 victory. Given Atlanta Girls' School's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Cougars are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Atlanta Girls' School can attribute much of their success to Ava Sanderson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds, and Libby Knott, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Sanderson, who scored five points.

Atlanta Girls' School's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Dominion Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Atlanta Girls' School was able to grind out a solid win over the Knights in their previous meeting back in January, winning 54-43. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dominion Christian's Emory Maiyer, who scored 23 points along with five steals.
