City of Life Christian Academy was down 53-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
City of Life Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Talia St hilaire, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. St hilaire hasn't dropped below three steals for ten straight games. Abigail Squires was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The First Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bianca Hall led the charge by scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Hall has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Raziah Henderson, who scored 14 points along with six steals.
City of Life Christian Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for The First Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. City of Life Christian Academy will take on the Ducks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The First Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Trinity Christian Academy is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
