Basketball Recap: Stuart W. Cramer Takes a Loss

Stuart W. Cramer lost against Crest back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stuart W. Cramer Storm were beaten by the Crest Chargers 72-45. The Storm were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-14.

Stuart W. Cramer's loss came despite strong showings from Gavin Jordan and Dj Cross. Jordan posted ten points and three blocks, while Cross put up nine points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Cross has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tahj Whitley, who had four points.

Crest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was D'Various Surratt out in front who went 6 for 8 en route to 16 points. Surratt also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Cal Pass Jr. was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine assists.

Stuart W. Cramer's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Crest, their record is now 10-1.

Stuart W. Cramer will head out to face off against Huss at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Huss knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Stuart W. Cramer likes a good challenge. Crest has already played their next game, a 71-70 victory against Shelby on the 15th.
