It was a good run, but the Union Knights/Damsels unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a hard 64-48 fall against Karns City. Union has not had much luck with Karns City recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Union still got an impressive performance from Hayden Smith, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dawson Camper, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Union's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Karns City, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will stay at home for another game and welcome Moniteau at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Moniteau is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Karns City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Venango Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Venango Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 749th, while Karns City is ranked 143rd).
