Easley hadn't done well against J.L. Mann recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Green Wave put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Green Wave this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-15.

McKenzie Karr paced Easley's offense, picking up eight kills. Karr got some help from Kate Kelley and her 16 assists. Finally, Catherine Barrington kept Easley's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Easley has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for J.L. Mann, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Easley is set to face off against their familiar foe Woodmont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, J.L. Mann will take on rival Greenville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
