Bishop McLaughlin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Land O' Lakes Gators. The Hurricanes were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Gators from their previous meeting  back in October of 2022.
 Bishop McLaughlin Catholic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22,  15-6.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic now  has a losing record of 7-8. As for Land O' Lakes, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record  this season.
 Bishop McLaughlin Catholic has already played their next game,  a  2-0  win against Robinson on the 20th. As for Land O' Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  2-1  victory against Sickles on the 20th.
