The Faith Christian Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against School of the Woods, falling 44-17. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Faith Christian of the 41-29 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Yulissa DelaRosa was Faith Christian's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Ellieana Milford took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Faith Christian bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.8 points per game. As for School of the Woods, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Faith Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Good Samaritan HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. School of the Woods won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Humble Christian at 12:00 p.m. on January 13th. Humble Christian's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so School of the Woods' offense will have their work cut out for them.
