Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin has gone a perfect 3-0 against Schlarman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Hilltoppers at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Salt Fork just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Storm by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Schlarman couldn't beat Watseka on Friday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Warriors, falling 23-9.

Miles Crosby put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Crosby was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run.

In other batting news, Marc Villaester was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Schlarman is 2-1 when Villaester posts two or more runs, but 3-10 otherwise. Grayson Kruger was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Schlarman has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin took their victory against Schlarman when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-5 score. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hilltoppers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
