Basketball Recap: Harriman Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Harriman entered their tilt with Mount Pisgah Christian Academy on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against Mount Pisgah Christian Academy by a score of 65-53. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 44-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Harriman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lexi Rose, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. That's the most rebounds Rose has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Harriman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matches.

Mount Pisgah Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylynn Walls, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jesalyn Howard, who posted 15 points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Harriman has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, their record now sits at 7-4.

Harriman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-51 defeat against Austin-East on the 28th. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-43 loss against Rockwood on the 28th.
