Cape Henry Collegiate had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Bishop O'Connell Knights 8-2 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Dolphins sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Colin Lebel made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Reid Downs was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Harley Matela, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Cape Henry Collegiate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in six consecutive matches.

Cape Henry Collegiate pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop O'Connell, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6.

As of now, neither Cape Henry Collegiate nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
