 Ethan Thompson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last six games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Dusty Tedder, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
Hulbert's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Porter,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 13-12.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hulbert will face off against Wilson-Henryetta at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Riders are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak. As for Porter, they will take on Crowder at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
