Salina Central put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Andover Trojans as the Salina Central Mustangs made off with a 13-4 victory. The win was nothing new for Salina Central as they're now sitting on three straight.
Katy Wagner was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Wagner was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, Ellie Riekhof was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Harper Turpin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.
Salina Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Andover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
