On Tuesday, Hampton Prep came up short against Uplift Ascend Prep and fell 53-44. Hampton Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Uplift Ascend Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Wright out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Wright also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Eligah Smith was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five steals.
Hampton Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Uplift Ascend Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4-2.
Hampton Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Uplift Ascend Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Uplift Elevate Prep at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th.
