Wolcott dropped down to 7-7 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Naugatuck Greyhounds, falling 11-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 back in April.
As for Naugatuck, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the game before.
For Naugatuck's part, Dylan Accetura was excellent, going 1-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave Accetura a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Rumble, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
