We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Richfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They snuck past Union with a 51-46 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won eight in a row.

Abbee Albrecht continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (seven). Another player making a difference was Katie Anderson, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points.
Richfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union only eight assists.
Meanwhile, it may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but South Summit ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 51-50 win over Carbon. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Richfield better keep an eye on Emma Broadbent. She was instrumental in South Summit's win, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 21 boards. Broadbent has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last 48 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Bowen, who posted 18 points along with six assists and four steals.
South Summit pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Richfield, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Richfield has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.6 boards per game. However, it's not like South Summit struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge on Monday.
Everything came up roses for Richfield against South Summit when the teams last played back in February of 2021, as the team secured a 57-24 victory. Does Richfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Summit turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
