Two dominant players in Prince Sohn and Rippen Gill are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The South Pointe Griffins and the Centennial Golden Hawks will round out the year against one another at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. South Pointe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, South Pointe humbled Bella Vista College Preparatory School with a 70-30 victory. With South Pointe ahead 40-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Centennial had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against Sanger by a score of 58-51.
It was another big night for Gill, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. The match was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Godwill Fomusoh was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 15 rebounds and five steals.
South Pointe now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
