Brunswick and Camden Hills are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Dragons will welcome the Windjammers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.
Brunswick fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Mt. Blue on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 7-6. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Dragons' highest-scoring match to date.

Caitlin Seitz put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 7.2 innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off 12 hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those RBI were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Julianna Morin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Maleia Wakinekona was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Camden Hills suffered their closest loss since May 10, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Bangor by a score of 5-3.
Camden Hills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adriana Pedro, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Camden Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Brunswick's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Dragons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Camden Hills, though, as they've been averaging only 0.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Brunswick continue to outrun the ball?
Brunswick suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Camden Hills in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
