The New Milford Green Wave are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Immaculate Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (New Milford is ranked 67th, while Immaculate is ranked 52nd).
On Tuesday, New Milford didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Danbury, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory.
Meanwhile, Immaculate had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down New Fairfield 45-28. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Immaculate has managed all season.
It was another big night for Kristina Asmani, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Foy, who scored nine points.
New Milford now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Immaculate, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
New Milford strolled past Immaculate in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 49-32. Will New Milford repeat their success, or does Immaculate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
