Franklin Road Christian has gone a perfect 4-0 against South Haven Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Minutemen will square off against South Haven Christian at 6:00 p.m. Franklin Road Christian has now lost seven straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 1st.

Last Tuesday, Franklin Road Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Middle Tennessee Monarchs and fell 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Minutemen have lost by exactly two runs.

Benjamin Walker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Mason Alcorn, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, South Haven Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Hendersonville Christian Academy on Friday. South Haven Christian blew past Hendersonville Christian Academy 16-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for South Haven Christian's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Aiden Hampton was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. Aaron Taylor was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

South Haven Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Franklin Road Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Franklin Road Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South Haven Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Franklin Road Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against South Haven Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. Will the Minutemen repeat their success, or do South Haven Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
