Even though Chenango Forks scored an imposing 60 points last Wednesday, Susquehanna Valley still came out on top. Susquehanna Valley walked away with a 71-60 victory over Chenango Forks.
Meanwhile, Deposit-Hancock's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bainbridge-Guilford.
The losing side was boosted by Blake Fortunato, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 44.7% of Deposit-Hancock's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zech Begeal, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Susquehanna Valley's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Deposit-Hancock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
