Christian Liberty suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 73-49 defeat at the hands of Arthur-Okaw Christian. Christian Liberty was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.
Arthur-Okaw Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Skowronski led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five assists and three steals. Skowronski continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyson Pflum, who scored 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Christian Liberty has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.
Christian Liberty on the road again on Thursday and play against Christian Life at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Christian Life will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Arthur-Okaw Christian will take on Judah Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Judah Christian and Arthur-Okaw Christian are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
