Lena-Winslow and the Bulldogs are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Lena-Winslow Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Aquin Catholic Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Lena-Winslow made easy work of the Wolves and carried off a 45-21 victory. Lena-Winslow pushed the score to 39-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolves cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Aquin Catholic entered their tilt with the Indians with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Aquin Catholic simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Indians 57-19 on the road. With Aquin Catholic ahead 33-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lena-Winslow and bumps their season record up to 18-9. As for Aquin Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
Lena-Winslow came up short against the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in January, falling 63-53. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Aquin Catholic's Paityn London, who scored 25 points along with eight assists and eight steals.
