Donnie Hooten continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 316 yards and three TDs while completing 78.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 30 yards and a pair of scores. Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Alvord over Trenton in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Kamper Barnes and Cutter Hamilton. Barnes rushed for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Hamilton rushed for 89 yards and two scores on only six carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Hamilton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rhett Richey, who rushed for 50 yards and one TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alvord was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 334 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 273 rushing yards in four consecutive games.
